Our FOunder
My first job was as a Starbucks Barista — and I loved it! I found myself constantly trying out new cafes and bars to work, be social, and be a part of the community.
One of my favorite bars is Bar-chord in Brooklyn; because it’s a scene for artists and musicians with live music. I’d go out to the back garden, spark a joint, set up an easel, and paint. I am a multifaceted artist constantly looking for spaces I can create in, and I know there are others just like me.
The seed of this idea was planted when I had a mental breakdown from burnout and past trauma. While recuperating I went to an art studio and cafe called Alexandria’s Art Studio. They have open studio time to paint, all the while selling delicious mocha lattes and other beverages. I found that cannabis and art became a part of the therapy I needed to heal.
I fell in love with the idea of combining: art, coffee, and cannabis — with education, wellness, and healing in mind.
I founded Lucidreams because I saw a need for a space where artists and cannabis lovers can congregate. I envision a vibrant community where ideas sprout, memories are made, and artists can collaborate and work on their craft.
